To do lists

To do lists are an effective and fast way to get started and organized. There are different ways to make a to do list. You can do the to do list online so that it is available wherever you are. Trello and Todoist are examples of apps for this purpose.

You can also make a to do list in Word or Excel. Or, if you prefer to do things by hand, you can write your to do list the old-fashioned way, on a piece of paper.

Whatever means you choose, the best time to do it is right now.

Write down all your tasks and start organizing them into workable chunks. Once you have done this, you have already taken the first step towards performing these tasks.

When you know what you have to do next, you can more easily plan your day and week. So, it is a good idea to start every day by looking at your to do list or by writing a specific list for that particular day. Every Monday you could write a list for the week and check your progress the next week. The feeling of getting to check off things off your to do list is wonderful.

BUT, here it’s also important to remember, that not being able to check something off your list does not mean you have failed. It just means you might have underestimated the time and effort needed to achieve that goal. And, not all goals are achievable or necessary for you to achieve.

That is why focusing on goal-setting is extremely important and a good thing to read about next.
